LAL OS is an independent operating system project developed from scratch in Turkey. It is not a Linux distribution; it is not based on the kernel, user space or desktop infrastructure of Linux, Windows or any other operating system. Within the scope of LAL OS, it has its own boot chain, kernel architecture, BigArena memory approach, hardware and driver infrastructure, Zuzu Graphics graphics engine, compositor/display layer, Mosaic Desktop, file system, system services and implement ma working model is being developed. In this video, you can follow the real opening process of LAL OS from hardware detection, kernel and command line stages to graphics environment and transition to Mosaic Desktop. Our goal is not only to develop a new desktop interface, but also to create real engineering knowledge in the fields of operating system, kernel, driver, graphics infrastructure and system programming in Turkey.
